What We Do

The Tax Increment Finance Board is responsible to promote the economic growth in the City of Fall River.    In addition, they also vote on approvals or denials of all abatement and exemptions that are filed.

The Board of Assessors is also obligated by state law to assess all real property at full and fair cash value as of January 1 of each year preceding the fiscal year.  The fiscal year is July 1st through June 30th.  Full and fair cash value is defined as 100% of fair market value.  What a willing buyer is prepared to offer a willing seller.
