What We Do

The City of Fall River relies on grant awards to fund several critical programs and projects. Grant-funded activities in Fall River include public safety staffing, safety equipment purchases, infrastructure improvements, substance abuse prevention and outreach, and much more. Each year, Fall River receives over $10 million in grant funding from a combination of federal, state, and private sources.

The Grant Writer is responsible for securing grant funding for the City of Fall River and its subdivisions. This includes meeting with City administration and department heads to identify funding needs, researching potential funding sources, attending bidders’ conferences, webinars, and workshops, and preparing and submitting all required application materials.

After receiving a grant award, the Grant Writer also helps facilitate contract execution, attends grantee workshops and webinars, and assists with grant administration and the submission of any required reporting.
